The front of the coin shows A.A. Weinman's interpretation of “Walking Liberty”. Lady Liberty appears to have on a cap and gown made from the American flag, as she makes strides towards the sunrise. An inscription of “Liberty “ arches across the top half of the coin , with “In God We Trust” near her heel and 2013 under her toes.
Rear/Reverse
The reverse features John Mercanti's version of the U.S.' Great Seal. “United States of America” is inscribed near the top edge of the coin and “1 oz Fine Silver – One Dollar” near the bottom.
